Projects and Ideas

Here are some Pidgin-related projects/ideas I have.

• Emoticon support
  • Add support for using "custom smileys" on XMPP using XEP-0231 (bits of binary)
  • A persistent emoticon cache would be nice
  • Add support for protocol-specific emoticon constraints (dimensions, file size, mime types...)

  • Support unnamed chats
    • Ability to add contacts to and existing two-person conversation to turn it into a chat
    • Support "temporary MUC" for XMPP, generating a room name and use it as an "unnamed chat"
